Privacy policy
[ Last updated: 17 August 2026 ]This policy explains what personal data we collect through this site, why we process it, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights. It is written to reflect what this site actually does.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Shacode, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For any question about your personal data you can write to support@shacode.com.ar.
2. What data we collect
We only process the data you voluntarily provide through the contact form: name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We do not request or process sensitive data as defined in section 2 of Argentine Law 25.326. In addition, for technical and security reasons, when you submit the form we temporarily record your IP address and browser identifier (user agent).
3. Why we use it
We use the form data for a single purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a commercial proposal. We do not use it to send unsolicited advertising, we do not build profiles from it, and we do not sell or trade it. The IP address and user agent are used exclusively to rate-limit automated submissions and protect the form from abuse.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on your free, express and informed consent, given when you complete and submit the form, in accordance with section 5 of Law 25.326. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to support@shacode.com.ar.
5. Recipients and international transfers
To deliver form submissions we use Resend, an email delivery provider based in the United States, acting as a data processor. To measure site usage we use PostHog, a web analytics service based in the United States that also acts as a data processor. PostHog records page views, clicks and scrolling in aggregate to produce heatmaps and usage statistics; we do not record sessions and we do not link that activity to your identity. This involves an international transfer of data to a country that has not been declared to provide an adequate level of protection by the Argentine data protection authority (AAIP); by submitting the form you consent to that transfer under section 12 of Law 25.326. Apart from these providers, we do not share your data with third parties, except where required by a competent authority.
6. Retention period
We keep the content of your enquiry for as long as the exchange lasts and for the period needed to meet any legal or contractual obligation arising from it. The IP address and user agent used for abuse control are kept for a maximum of ten minutes and then discarded. You can ask us to delete your data earlier at any time.
7. Cookies
This site uses no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies for commercial purposes. We use two kinds of cookie. The first is NEXT_LOCALE, a technical cookie whose only purpose is to remember the language you chose (Spanish or English) so the site displays correctly on your next visit. The second is set by PostHog, our analytics provider, to tell repeat visits apart using a random identifier; it exists only so you are not counted twice in our statistics, it cannot identify you and it is never used for advertising. You can block both from your browser settings without losing any site functionality.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS traffic encryption, validation of the data we receive, and submission limits to prevent abuse of the form. No system is completely infallible, but we work to maintain a level of protection appropriate to the risk.
9. Your rights
As the data subject you have the right to access your data and to request its rectification, updating or deletion. To exercise these rights, write to support@shacode.com.ar describing your request; we will respond within the legally required timeframe.
10. AAIP notice
Under Argentine law, the data subject may exercise the right of access to their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated under section 14(3) of Law No. 25.326. The AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION, as the supervisory authority for Law No. 25.326, is empowered to hear complaints and claims regarding non-compliance with personal data protection rules.
11. Minors
This site is aimed at companies and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you become aware that a minor has sent us data, please write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to applicable regulations. When we do, we will change the last-updated date shown at the top.
